Gore Street, Fitzroy

A dream warehouse makeover with dream clients to boot. As stage one of this renovation, we are working our way from the roof to the kitchen, with a pit-stop in the master bedroom and ensuite. As lovers of mid-century design, the clients encouraged us to lean into the tones and textures of the period while giving a nod to the home’s industrial roots. Drawing inspiration from the exposed brick and original lining board ceilings, we used a mixture of terracotta-toned tiles in the ensuite and applied lining boards to the pitched ceiling. Olive green grasscloth wallpaper in the bedroom provides a great backdrop to an eclectic mix of furniture and textiles.
