Kerr Street, Fitzroy

If Steampunk and Memphis had a lovechild, it might look like 183 Kerr Street, Fitzroy – otherwise known as The Musk Stick Apartment. Drawing from its industrial roots, we embraced the exposed beams, steel frame windows, and high ceilings - highlighting them with the use of copper tubing and exposed hardware. We then flipped that on its head with the introduction of bold colours and unexpected materials that delineated the zones. The pink cube is the engine room of the apartment – the heart, if you will – housing both the laundry and the bathroom.
