What do you get when you marry the dream project with the dream client? Well, you get to live the dream—that’s what!

This 1970s three-bedroom unit in Kew was looking a bit tired when we got our hands on it—it was badly in need of a freshen-up and a better layout. Thankfully, our client was keen to honour its origins and stay true to the era.

We took inspiration from what was already there and cranked it up a few notches with modern amenities and improved use of space. Unafraid of colour, deep tones, and thinking outside the box, our client was excited by our concept to redesign the entire kitchen around the original awning crank mechanism, which now occupies pride of place in the tiled column adjacent to the island bench.
